Why Mindzwork?

At a public gathering, I heard my mentor Late Shri Raghavendra Okade, Behavioural Scientist say, “The clothes that I wear are not stitched by me, the food that I eat is not grown by me, and the footwear that I wear is not made by me. So I am here to give back, because everything I own is given to me by someone else.” Since then, his mission has resonated with me, allowing me to introspect and discover my purpose.

My quest shifted from the self to the selfless – leading me away from a life centered in, ‘What have I gained through my life?’ to ‘What can I give back through my life?’ Soon, I witnessed my profession transform into my passion, giving me the opportunity to share something of significant value with the world.

Today, I feel grateful for the opportunity to work with you on your journey towards meeting your wellbeing goals.

What is Mindzwork?

As human beings we are equipped with powerful healing resources – our mind, body and spirit, all of which enable change, growth and healing within us.

With an M.Sc. degree in counselling and psychotherapy, I embrace a unique approach by combining traditional counselling practices and modern psychotherapy. Additionally, I use Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) as a tool to gain an in-depth understanding of human emotions and behaviours.

My experience of applying NLP in my practice gives me a keen insight into understanding and analyzing non-verbal behaviours, analyzing verbal content and understanding one’s needs and drives. I have been practicing psychotherapy and coaching in the medical field (for people living with chronic illness and critical health conditions) as well as consulting with corporates to help them gain deeper insights into consumer needs, motivations and behaviours. Working in different spaces has contributed greatly to the value I bring into my practice.

Mindzwork – Heart and Mind Retreat is a journey into the deep recesses of the mind, where one gets to unlearn habitual, destructive and unhelpful thinking patterns. It brings about self awareness, which can contribute towards simplifying behaviours and perceptions about oneself and others in a more healthy and meaningful way. By tapping into one’s potential, one can become the kind of person they want to be, and lead the life they envision for themselves.

Change by itself is not hard; it is the resistance to change that is harder. And once we lower our resistance to change, and move onto the path of acceptance, we achieve wholeness and natural balance.
